POLICY

Definition:  Disbursement of chapter money for CERTIFICATION or RECERTIFICATION of CNOR/CRNFA

 Purpose:  To assist chapter members by defraying some expense for certification or recertification.

 Responsibilities: 

1.      A maximum of $400.00 may be used per fiscal year for members toward certification/recertification.

2.      An applicant must be an RN and a dues paying AORN member.

3.      Applicant will complete an application form which is submitted to the Secretary and in turn is reviewed by the Board of Directors.

4.      A copy of verification of being certified/recertified is submitted with the application form.

5.      A copy of the registration form is submitted with the application form.

6.      The decision by the Board is communicated to the applicant.

7.      A maximum of $100.00 will be given per applicant, each fiscal year.

8.      The applicant must attend at least six (6) meetings of a 12 month period (a floating year counting back from the time of the application).

9.      Application may be made after successful completion of certification/recertification.
