POLICY

Membership / Hospitality Committee

 

Purpose: Promote membership and retention in the chapter.
Definition: Is a standing committee of the chapter.  The chair is appointed by the President.
# of Members: A chairman and 3 members
Length of Appointment: One year

Responsibilities:

    1.  Keep a record of attendance at all meetings.

    2.  Seek to motivate current members to be involved in the chapter.

    3.  Welcome new chapter members and visitors at meetings.

    4.  Introduce visitors and new members at chapter meetings.

    5.  Maintain chapter membership list.

    6.  Verify that all chapter officers', board of directors, and nominating commitee                    memberships are current.

    7.  Maintain a supply of membership applications and have several forms at every every meeting and educational seminar.

    8.  Make sure that refreshments are furnished at each business meeting.

    9.  Investigate means of increaasing the membership - support nationally planned member recruitment and retention programs.

    10.  Promote membership for the growth of the chapter.

    11.  Notify the Center for Member Services at headquarters of errors in the membership list and chapter members who have moved or changed chapters.

    12.   Submit an annual written report to the President, using the committee report form. 

    13.  Relinquish all properties to the incoming chair.
