WORKSHOP COMMITTEE

 

Definition An Ad Hoc Committee
# Members A chair and three (3) members
Length of appointment One year

Responsibilities:

        1.  Follow guidelines of AORN, TNA or other approved providers of continuing education that are accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation, meeting Type I criteria for mandatory continuing education requirements toward relicensure as established by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.

        2.  Submit information to the public relations/newletter committee in time for the information to be published in the newsletter and on the web page.

        3.  Prepare a budget and submit to the budget/finance committee prior to finalization of the budget, if applicable.

        4.  Plan and design offering to include:

                    obtain speakers and arrange for transportation fo speakers, if applicable;  invite vendors, if applicable; design and produce flyer;  handle mailouts;  designate registrar;  determine date, time place of offering , parking;  determine A-V needs and arrange for those needs;  designate monitors;  obtain CNE units for offering;  introduce speakers;  maintain attendance roster;  prepare evaluation of offering;  have certificate of attendance;  write thank you note to speakers.

        5.  Certificate of attendance forms will be awarded at the completion of the workshop/seminar.

        6.  An evaluation form must be submitted by the attendee prior to receiving a certificate of attendance.

        7.  Submit written annual report to President.
