             Objectives:

Ø      Identify ways that attendance of hospital nursing administration/management personnel at the local meetings stimulates nursing participation in the local AORN chapter.

Ø      List three professional qualities AORN participation can foster in the peri-operative nurse.

Ø      Explain how valuing nurses affiliation with their professional organization can influence retention efforts at a facility.

Ø      Identify two symposium suggestions your nursing management/administration might be able to implement that would promote professionalism &/or retention in your work area.
