POLICY: President
PURPOSE: Chief Officer of the Chapter. After serving one year as President-elect becomes President to coordinate the Board and Chapter activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Represents the chapter at meetings of other organizations or designates an alternate to serve in President’s place. 2. Be a member, ex-officio, with vote of all committees, except Nominating Committee. 3. Preside at all business meetings of the chapter and Board of Director meetings. 4. Prepares an agenda for all business meetings of the chapter and Board of Directors. 5. Chairs the executive committee. 6. Appoints chairman and members of all standing and ad hoc committees after consulting with the Board of Directors. 7. Terminates committee appointments when appointees are non-functioning. 8. Co-signs all checks with the treasurer. 9. Directs the preparations of and signs all official correspondence of the chapter. 10. Directs the preparations of and signs all official correspondence of the chapter. 11. Establish a time for all Board meetings. 12. Serve on budget/finance committee. 13. Mentor the President-elect. 14. Keep Board and membership informed of all Association activities as received from National AORN. 15. Relinquish all properties to the incoming President at the annual meeting, or within two weeks.
